Winter Track Program -
Nov 17th - Feb 14th

About Me
I am a retired Phoenix Police Sergeant with over 40 years of experience as a competitive runner and coach. I have worked with athletes from youth to collegiate levels, including Highland High (Gilbert, AZ), NJCAA, and NAIA collegiate programs. I have been blessed enough to lead jumpers and distance runners to State Championships in Track and Cross Country, as well as Youth Junior Nationals and Collegiate NIAA Championships.
I am a USATF-certified coach, NJCAA All-American 4x800M, Dll -MIAA All-Conference Athlete with Northwest Missouri State in the 10,000m, and I was a member of the 2x CCAA Cross Country Conference Championship team with Grand Canyon University. As a USATF Masters Athlete, I hold/ have held Arizona State records in the 400M - 3000M, as well as maintaining top 10 national rankings in the 10,000M through Long Distance Road (LDR) racing in the 10-mile and half-marathon. I am currently appointed as the AZ-USATF Cross Country Chair, assigned to facilitate cross country meets for youth and to promote the sport of running to our Arizona communities.
My academic background includes an MS in Psychology, an MBA, and a Graduate certification in Positive Behavior Support (NAU). I specialize in blending performance coaching with mental skills training to help athletes overcome barriers like race-day anxiety and performance inconsistency. I have 600 hours in sports behavioral analysis supervision and completed a 4-month single-subject case study that focused on the 800M race strategy & tactics for a sub-2:00 race.
I am looking forward to sharing my experience and passion for the sport. My goal as a coach is to provide my athletes with the opportunity to make their goals possible.
Performance Elite is a USA-Track & Field-sanctioned team that offers competitive and non-competitive options for athletes, Freshman and above, preparing for the 2026 track season.
MISSION:
Performance Elite Winter Camp is designed to balance competitive conditioning with a fun, positive environment where athletes are encouraged to develop at their own pace. For those seeking competitive opportunities, the camp provides the chance to test fitness and participate in a winter track season. At the same time, all athletes will benefit from focused training on the biomechanics of running, form improvement, aerobic development, and strength work—all essential foundations for success in track and field. This camp is about building confidence, skills, and performance in a supportive team setting.
Collegiate /Adult runners welcome, please note this is not a “social style” group run club. Conditioning and training are professionally designed to improve athletic performance.
